I saw none, so I built one: women in the tech community

While growing up Aishath always feared that she would end up following the path that society had set for women and be a homemaker. She always knew that she wanted more. It is in the quest to become something more that she choose to have a career in Tech, but it wasn’t something that her parents or her community understood, especially for a girl. While pursuing her career in Tech, Aishath found very few women working in the field in the Maldives. This motivated her to start a community of like-minded individuals. But, how do we encourage women to pursue careers in the Tech industry while the influence of the community and people around them played such a key role?
